Hospital Caterers Association announces plan to host regional study day

The South West and Wessex branches of the Hospital Caterers Association (HCA) have joined forces to host a joint regional study day on Thursday 10th July at Bawa Club in Bristol from 9am-4pm.
The event is free to attend for HCA members offering them free parking as well. The MC for the day is Phil Shelley, senior operational manager at NHS England, who has recently been awarded the Public Sector Catering Lifetime Achievement accolade.
The event kicks-off at 9am with coffee, registration and a supplier exhibition. Iain Robertson, chair of the HCA, will welcome attendees to the regional study day at 10am. Other sessions include:
- Session one: Understanding the importance of data and how it drives change. Max Kindred Estates Senior Insight Manager (Net Zero).
- Session two: A managers perspective: A journey to improve patient and retail service. (Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Ashford and St Peters) Rob Strachan & Eimear Jordan.
- Session three: Artificial Intelligence (AI): How it can be used in a healthcare setting. Paul Jenkins, associate director of estates and support services, North Bristol NHS Trust.
- Session four: Eat Curious: Resh Diu explores the incredible journey of one SME.
- Session five: Protecting our Mental Health & Wellbeing: Jamie Clews - Burnt Chef Project ambassador.
- Review of the day: Karoline Rowlands and Ronnie Parrett-Harris – branch chair’s.
