Corporate patron wins FPA recycling award

In an exclusive partnership with SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, Return to Recycle by Wrapmaster is a new recycling scheme to support sustainability and recyclability in professional kitchens. Simple to join, chefs and foodservice operators can claim a brand-new award-winning Wrapmaster for free, when they recycle ANY end-of-life food wrap dispenser, regardless of brand. As part of Cofresco’s 100% circular mission, the scheme provides a solution for responsible and traceable recycling at the end of a dispenser’s life, as they can be returned and reprocessed to create new products – such as white goods.
Operators can participate easily by completing a simple online form, and receiving a pre-paid return label to send back their dispenser. Once the dispenser is returned, participants receive a voucher for a free Wrapmaster dispenser, redeemable through participating distributors.
The returned dispensers are processed by SUEZ at a UK facility using advanced methods that shred, wash, and separate the materials into polymers and metals. These materials are then reprocessed and supplied to UK and EU manufacturers to be used as substitutes for virgin materials in the production of new goods. This circular and fully traceable approach exemplifies how waste can be transformed into new resources, setting a benchmark for sustainability within the foodservice industry.
